My Background
If anyone happens to be from any of my schools/colleges. Drop in a Line.
don't wait!. It would be great to meet a old pal :).
Kinder Garden 1972-1978
I remember being to Libya where my sister Pallavi was born
when I was just two years old :)
I did my K.G. from Tiny Tots , Bareilly. I don't remember
much about that place. It was in 1978. I remember bit about couple of friends
I had in my neighborhood. I also remember a bit about my first pet dog
Rockey .
Primary School 1978-83
I did my Primary School Central School , Baghdad, Iraq. * Yea the
Saddam Husieen's Den*. The school was run by the members of the Indian
Community in Iraq. Indians were quite a bit in number and I had a nice time.
The hanging gardens of the Babylon are definitely worth seeing. But
missed my country there a lot. Unfortunately I have lost touch with all my
friends who were there with me. My youngest sister Vishaka was born
here.
Pre High School 1983-84
After I returned from Iraq. I was in a place called MuzzafarNagar in
India for about a year. Most of my relatives from my mothers side are here. I
know quite a friends here. Amit, Sanjeev Balyan, Sanjeev Goel, Ritesh
Jain . I studied at Holy Angels School in the 7th Standard. I
have lost all contacts with my friends from that school.
High School 1984-1988
I did my High School from Spring Dale College , Lucknow. It is an
I.C.S.E broad College. I met quite a few nice people here. Manik, Ashish
Goel, Arun, Ashutosh are few of my friends with whom I am still in touch
with. I took science stream with maths. Most of the nice pretty girls in my
batch shifted to the Biology stream. :(. Thus I decided to shift to a New
College. I remember few of the nice teachers who taught me. Late Mr Clifford (
Geography) Mrs Murthi ( Comp. Sc.) Ms. Sarkar ( English). My
sister, Vishaka, is still studying in the same college.
I did my Intermediate from Colvin Taluqdars College, Lucknow, UP . It is a
UP Board College. For me it was quite a shift from a coeducation to a Boys
Only School. But the Standard of teaching was very high. Two of my best
friends Manik & Arun also joined with me. I also met few new friends, with whom
unfortunately I have lost touch, Sanjay, Saket, Anurag . The Teachers
Mr. Tandon ( maths), Mr. Sidhiqee, Mr. Goel ( Chemistry). were
definitely very Good.
Bachelors 1990-1994
I did my Bachelors in Computer Science from Institute of Engineering &
Technology , Lucknow. Its a nice little College with Entrance Test through
CET. I stayed in Hostels A for 3 years and Hostel E in my Final. The 4 years
I spend there were among the best years of my life :). Fortunately, I did well
here in my studies and was among the cream in all the 4 years. Here I met
some of my great friends Puneet, Vagish, Avninendra, Amit, Ajay, Nitesh
. Unfortunately I was not very impressed with the Professors out here.
Masters 1994-96
I did my Masters from Indian Institute of Science , Bangalore.
Definitely one of the best Institutes in India & comparable to Best in the
World. Just my One and a Half years of stay here changed my life style,
everything. I had an opportunity to work under the Best Professors of the
world : Prof. Vijay Chandru, Prof. J Haritsa, Prof. Narahari, Prof. K
Chandra Sekar and late Prof. B G Raghavendra . I also met two of the best
ladies in the World :) Mrs Jyothi Venkatesh & Ms. Priyadarshini Mudnal. I consider my self to be lucky to have met them and spend definitely best 18th
months of life with them. Also I enjoyed company of some good friends, Biren,
Ravi, Shiva to name a few.
First Job 1996 - ?
I took up my first job at DBSS, Madras. Well shift from Bangalore to Madras was not much to my liking :(, But I am managing well. DBSS
is a very young, open and a friendly organization. I have quite a good friend circle. My Project Manager Dr. GVN Appa Rao is a very frank, dynamic
and a very supportive man. Some of my good friends at Madras are Pravin, Deka and Mallesh.
